With the purpose of creating a “cloud full of dreams” and brightening up these hard times that we are all currently encountering, three international students: Chi, Cristi & Tushar came together one Sunday evening and planned out the soon to become @whenitsover.project.
Challenged by the Minerva University to experience the world, Cristi Drăgan (Strategy Officer) has been known since his high school years for his hard work and determination to make a world of difference in the society.
Since high school, and even throughout studying at the Minerva University, Cristi Drăgan (Strategy Officer) was remarkably involved in numerous projects for making a change in the community through hard work. He was joined by Tushar Advani (Community Manager), an undergraduate of the Romanian-American University, and together they have been organising Opportunity Weekend, a Romanian opportunity fair that aims to provide information regarding volunteering programs to high schoolers. And last, but not least, is Thao Chi Vu (Design Officer), whose graphic design skills have not only astounded us, but have also raised money for a local charity in Romania and for the students from Minerva University (where she is also a student) affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite being a little nervous at the beginning, it did not throw a spanner in the works, thanks to our curiosity to find out more about the amazing initiative. Clara & Tudor, two members of the BYMUN Organisation Team, asked the people behind the When It’s Over Project whether they were expecting to have such a huge worldwide impact and positive feedback in just a couple of days, as well as how new opportunities and their life experiences helped developing and growing the project. To ascertain all of their opinions, goals and desires for the future, watch the Bucharest Youth Model United Nations x When It’s Over Interview down below!
